Why I Use Go Payment – Intuit GoPayment
Like most photographers, while on location photographing portraits I like to be paid when the shoot is done. Even though I inform my clients of this, there are many times they still forget their checkbook and can only pay by credit card. Before GoPayment the only way I could accept credit cards was through PayPal. The result was I frequently had to wait for payments, either by check in the mail or PayPal via email.

There are two issues I have come across while using Go Payment – Intuit GoPayment. The first is that the card reader did not work with my iPhone 3, I have since upgraded to an iPhone 4 and the card reader and now the card reader works. The second issue is that you are limited to $1,250 in card charges per week. You can change the preferences to allow $5,000 in charges per month by filling out a form that asks a few basic questions about your business. If you expect a higher volume than $5,000 per month then you need to upgrade to a different service which is $12.95 per month. The higher volume service includes lower swipe fees as you can see in the following image:
