Before you can add a Photoshelter flash gallery to a Facebook fan page you need to install

Static FBML application to your Facebook Page. This adds advanced functionality to your Page using the Facebook Static FBML application. This application will add a box to your Page in which you can render HTML or FBML (Facebook Markup Language) for enhanced Page customization.

Now that you have installed Static FBML open the Application by clicking the “Edit Page” link in the top right corner of your Page, then click the “Apps” link on the left. Look for the FBML app, this is where you enter the custom FBML or HTML code.

The next step is to add the code inside the FBML application. You cannot use the code supplied when you create your Photoshelter flash slideshow. What you have to do is add a link to your Photoshelter slideshow using Facebooks code for embedding objects.

FBML - Embed Flash

Copy the link from your Photoshelter flash gallery code (highlighted in blue) and paste it into the FBML code for your Facebook page. Also notice the code highlighted in green, in FBML code you must have a image to represent the flash gallery. When the image is clicked the flash gallery will start. I decided to use one of the images from my gallery and copied the link to the embed image function in my Photoshelter Archive account.

Thanks for the post. I’ve been researching ways to integrate PS into such sites as Facebook. The fewer apps I need to use, the better!

    Hi
I clicked on the FBML link I get into facebook but how do I add the application???? There is no add application button. What am I doing wrong

    Hello James,

After you click the link to FBML application there is a blue button that says “add to page”, click this button to add the FBML application to your Facebook pages.

After you add the application then you do this as posted in OP:
Now that you have installed Static FBML open the Application inside the “edit” link on your Page, this is where you enter the custom FBML or HTML code. The “edit” link is directly under your profile picture. After you click the “edit” button you will see your applications. FBML will be here.

    Hope that helps…
